The Company:

Part of a large global group specialising in steel processing and distribution, two sites in the UK including Dudley employing over 100 people.

​

The Opportunity:

​

You will be working as part of a team of 4 responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance. Hours of work Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm for 3 weeks and 1 week of 12pm-10pm with plenty of opportunities for overtime during the week and on Saturdays. The company can offer a wide range of training initiatives on site including; LOLER, PUWER, Oxy Fuels, Crane Training, Coded Welding, and MEWP.

Responsibilities:

​

You will be working on equipment including slitting, decoiling and plating lines, lathes and milling machinery responsible for day to day maintenance tasks including preventative and reactive maintenance.

​

About you:

​

Experience in the steel industry including good knowledge of steel slitting processes is preferred, apprentice trained with City and Guilds / NVQ in electrical or mechanical engineering. Experience of electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics and welding and fabrication required.

Remuneration and Benefits:

​

Basic salary in the region of £34k - £38k per annum, overtime paid at time ¼ during week, time ½ Saturdays. Competitive pension scheme, 31 days paid holiday.
