Test Engineer

A new opportunity for a Test Engineer with analogue and digital circuit experience with a leading supplier to military and aerospace industries.

Duties:

Test Switch Mode Power supplies having output voltages of up to 35kV

Test low voltage circuit and PCBs

Fault find PCBs and Switch Mode Power Supplies down to component level

Carry out RF testing on S, C, X, Ku and millimetric band TWTs

Use of Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers, RF Power Meters, RF Signal Generators, Pulse Generators

Measure RF Powers of up to tens of kW peak and hundreds of W average

Environmental Stress Screening tests, including vibration, altitude and operational temperature cycling

Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT)

Ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with documented processes, specifications and quality requirements

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Familiar with analogue circuits especially switch-mode PSU’s as well as high power RF test methods and equipment

Able to build and debug analogue and digital circuit breadboards

Knowledge of military and / or aerospace standards and test processes

Minimum of BTEC / NVQ Level 4 in Electronics Engineering or similar
