Senior Design Engineer

Senior Design Engineer, Automotive Engineering, West Midlands

Duties:

Lead the design and development of new and existing products from initial concept through to final validation testing

Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal departments

Design and build test fixtures and control equipment

Solve product failures and problems with the aid of CADDS5, CATIA 5 & Analysis software

Analyse test failures and produce written technical reports with conclusions and recommended actions

Conduct design reviews and product tolerance studies

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Educated to degree level

Design experience within the automotive components or vehicle manufacturing sectors

Experience in leadership roles

Test experience

Knowledge of stamping, injection moulding, electronics, electrics and pneumatics

Familiar with CADD’S/CATIA 5 system employing both surface and solid modelling
