My client is a fast developing high tech company at the cutting edge of automotive engine technology. Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit an experienced Rotordynamics Design Engineer to support the development of advanced prototype components for Electric Turbochargers. Applicants must be familiar with rotordynamic theory, vibration analysis, and design and test of rotating machinery.

Duties will include working as part of a small team of specialists spanning design and test disciplines including test rig design and data analysis, evaluating and documenting own designs. Working with suppliers to optimise your designs for manufacturability, weight and performance.

Applicants must be familiar with Rotordynamic Simulation Software with experience of rotordynamic testing tools and technquies. Degree educated with a strong theoretical grounding in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. Must have experience of developing bearings / bearing suspension systems, high speed balancing and precision manufacturing techniques. Knowledge of high speed shaft seals and bearing lubrication would be an advantage.
