Senior Manufacturing Engineer

 

 

Senior Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for developing processes and machine programming for the production of components to customer specifications.

 

Duties:

 

Engineer components using NC programming / verifying various components on all CNC machines

Understanding and interpretation of customer specifications and engineering drawings

Creation of prove-out sheets and oversee prove out of new programs

Design Jigs and fixtures

Optimisation of existing processes to drive down over capacity on machines with the objective of reducing the quoted runtimes to resolve bottlenecks in manufacture to meet CI targets

Assist within all aspects of engineering the production process, material flow and machine utilisation

 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

 

Educated to degree level or equivalent

Previous experience in a similar role in high speed machining

Advanced Catia V5 programming

Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and customer specifications

Project management experience

Able to lead and mentor junior engineers
