Project Engineer
Due to an increase in orders a global supplier of bespoke solutions to the academic and scientific sectors, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join their Oxfordshire based team.
Duties:
Project Management of sub-projects within major projects
Running subcontracts with suppliers and contractors
Liaise with customers and suppliers in the UK and abroad
Design and development of cryogenic and mechanical systems
Generate reports and scientific papers for internal use and external publication
Provide line up information to the drawing office to generate engineering drawings
Provide instructions and supervision for assembly
Check and approve drawings
Carrying out workshop based tests
Deal with queries from customers and collaborators
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Educated to Degree level in a relevant science / engineering discipline
Experience of superconducting magnets and cryogenic systems design and manufacture
Previous experience as a Project Engineer in a similar environment
Confident communication and leadership skills
Experience of fostering relationships with academic and industrial customers
Willing to travel worldwide
