Mechanical Design Engineer with thermal design experience, working within the design team for a manufacturer of electronics products for harsh environments.

Duties;

Responsible for mechanical and thermal aspects for the design and development of complex electronics products
Design cost effective and compact solutions with excellent thermal transfer characteristics
Use of Solidworks and CF design
Working on a variety of product designs

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Previous experience of designing mechanical and thermal solutions for electronics products in harsh environments

Experience with bus-based modular boards, products dissipating 60W or more, and BGA packaged electronic components an advantage
Familiarity with VPX, VME or CompactPCI bus systems would be beneficial
