Field and Operations Engineer
My client is a specialist supplier of remote control and monitoring systems, a new venture part of one of the UK's leading electronics consultancies. This is a varied role combining system installation, commissioning and customer support, office and field based including some international travel.
Duties:
Installation, commissioning and customer support of company operated networks and hosted networks
Assist the development team with system test
Radio systems deployment
Providing training to customers
Defining and writing operations documentation
Providing weekend 'on call' support as required
Skills and Experience:
Relevant engineering degree
Experience of design, management and test of large IT systems
Experience of design and deployment of communication infrastructure
Customer support of IT / communication systems
Linux network management
Databae and web based systems (preferably Firebird and Apache)
Radio systems design, planning and deployment
